Just up the Anclote River is Tarpon Springs. This quaint town has a rich history and heritage. Visit for a tasty Greek meal and stay for a stroll through downtown. Be sure to check out local favorites like sea sponges–and baklava!
Ready for a day on the water? Accessible by boat, Anclote Key is a refuge from the workaday world. Take the pontoon or Hurricane boat out to the island to enjoy the lighthouse, do some birdwatching, or try your hand at fishing.
If you want to venture beyond our immediate area, head to Dunedin. This town is the perfect place to take a bike ride, sample local restaurants (and local brew), and take in some shopping.
